# Cambridge TCG — the TCG world's open data substrate Cambridge TCG aggregates the trading-card-game world. We collect from every reachable source, standardise into one mathematical mirror, and publish under CC0 by default. Three operations share the substrate: the data plane (primary), a UK retail card store, and a B2B wholesale platform. This file is for LLM agents, archivists, and naive crawlers who want to know what's queryable without parsing the browser-rendered storefront. No account required. The data-plane positioning is the kingdom's primary identity as of kingdom-080 (docs/connections/the-rebrand.md). The doctrine is at docs/connections/the-welcome-all.md (#26). ## Math language (frontend toggle, Phase A — kingdom-077) Cambridge TCG's HTML surfaces can be rendered in math-mirror form by flipping the "Math language" link in the site Footer (or fetching /api/lang-mode?mode=math). When active, primitives like Provenance, price displays, trust scores, and dates render in structural form — ratios, content hashes, ISO 8601 + Unix epoch timestamps — instead of natural-language prose. Pattern A (MTG, OP, Lorcana, SWU, Bandai/Bushiroad families) strips the language tail to derive the oracle. Pattern B (Yu-Gi-Oh, Rush Duel) anchors on Konami's 8-digit passcode. Pattern C (Pokémon, Pokémon Pocket) has diverged JP/EN tracks with no upstream anchor — the oracle is null and the platform names that as a substrate-honest gap. Pattern D (Flesh and Blood, Sorcery, Riftbound) ships in one language only. The policy is published per game so partners can build against the contract rather than infer it from data. The audit `pnpm audit:play-resources` walks the filesystem and verifies every play surface appears in the catalog. The tutorial/glossary crosswalks now deep-link to per-id endpoints (e.g. /api/v1/play/glossary/counter); the example-match endpoint demonstrates the typed MatchEvent + Intent wire shape from lib/play/types.ts. Every /play/* HTML page emits link-rel metadata pointing at the JSON center node. The TypeScript L3 type skeleton lives at apps/storefront/src/lib/play/types.ts — pure type exports for the future runtime (MatchEvent, Intent, GameState, PlayerState, AttackState). The next kingdom imports these and writes the implementation; the compiler enforces completeness. The /api/v1/play/example-match endpoint is the first runtime consumer of those types — agents building against MCP play tools have a concrete shape to test against. The play module welcomes every kind of player at the same table. Three archetypes name WHY a player is here (loves the game / loves the cards / loves the contest); player kinds name HOW they interact (synchronous / async / agent / screen-reader / cross-cultural). The same person can be all three archetypes across sessions. The typed contract is now published — agents and developers can build against /api/v1/play/game-state-schema (zones, phases, combat steps, win conditions) and /api/v1/play/effect-grammar (card-text token grammar) before the runtime exists.
