Battle Spirits— what's in the box

Snapshot as of 2026-07-23 · every rate carries its basis — estimates are estimates

Does the publisher tell you the odds?

No. Official Saga product pages disclose configuration (12 cards/pack, 24 packs/box) and per-rarity type counts, never odds.

Battle Spirits — Saga (EN, 2023–2025, DISCONTINUED) + classic JP line (ongoing)

Pack anatomy

Cards per pack
Saga: 12 (BSSB03 packs also include 1 core token card)
Packs per box
Saga: 24

Guaranteed slots: No official slot documentation; Saga sets print normal + holo versions of C/U/R, with X Rare and above seeded in the premium slot

CRITICAL CONSUMER NOTE: Bandai officially ended Battle Spirits Saga development in March 2025 (official announcement; final event March 29, 2025; limited support window through March 2026). Sealed Saga product is now a dead game. The classic Japanese Battle Spirits line (2008–present) is a separate, JP-only product with a different rarity ladder and pack structure.

Rarity ladder

  1. ·Saga (per official BSS06 page, 140 types): C ×60, U ×30, R ×14, X Rare ×12, Special Rare ×21, Saga Rare ×3 (top chase tier)
  2. ·Classic JP line: C, R (U discontinued since SD33), Master Rare, X-Rare, Secret (X-Rare alt/gold variant), XX-Rare, plus anniversary tiers (10thX-Rare etc.) and Rebirth (double-sided) variants

Approximate rates

Confidence is part of the data: a low-confidence range is an honest answer, a precise-looking number without a basis is not.

Saga: X Rare / Special Rare / Saga Rare per boxlow confidence

no trustworthy per-box numbers found — retailer copy citing '12–14 X Rares' refers to the number of X-Rare TYPES in the set, not box contents (verified against the BSSB03 product text). Expect a handful of X-Rare-or-better hits per box, Saga Rare well under 1 per box.
